Community guidelines
PeaceBridge only works if people feel safe enough to be honest. These guidelines explain what we expect from everyone here, and what happens when someone crosses the line.
1. Respect everyone
Disagree with ideas, not people. Hate speech, harassment, threats and personal attacks are not allowed, including anything that targets someone for their religion, nationality, ethnicity, caste, gender, sexuality or disability.
2. Be honest
Don't pretend to be someone else, and don't present rumours as facts. If you find out you shared something false, correct it or delete it. Misinformation can hurt real communities, so check before you share.
3. Protect your privacy, and everyone else's
- Don't post anyone's address, phone number, private messages or photos without their permission.
- Think before you share your own details. Avoid posting your home address, your town together with your full name, your school or your phone number in public posts.
- Check the audience button before you post. Public posts can be seen by anyone, including search engines.
- Don't share intimate images of anyone without consent, or post fake or AI-made images, video or audio that present a real person as saying or doing something they didn't. If you post AI-made media, say so clearly.
4. Keep young people safe
PeaceBridge is for adults. If you are under 18, please do not create an account or share personal details here.
We have zero tolerance for anything that sexualises, grooms or exploits a child. Adults must never contact someone they believe is under 18 to start a relationship, offer travel, money or gifts, or ask to move the conversation somewhere private. Report it straight away. We remove this content, close the accounts involved, and report it to the authorities as the law requires. In India you can also report it directly at cybercrime.gov.in or call Childline on 1098.
5. No scams, no spam
- No get-rich schemes, fake giveaways, miracle cures or misleading links.
- Don't ask strangers for money, bank details, passwords or one-time codes, and never send them to anyone.
- Be careful with offers of jobs, visas, travel or marriage from people you've only met online. They are a common way that people get exploited. If an offer sounds too good to be true, report it.
6. Support each other safely
Sharing what you're going through is what this community is for. Reply with kindness, and don't give medical or legal advice as if you were a professional. If someone seems to be in danger, encourage them to contact local emergency services or a crisis line; our guide on how to support someone who is struggling can help. If you need help yourself, findahelpline.com lists free services by country.
7. How to report something
Use the ··· menu on any post or conversation. Reports are anonymous, so the person won't know it was you, and each one is looked at by a real person. You can also contact our Grievance Officer, who explains how quickly we respond. Please report rather than retaliate: replying in anger usually makes things worse.
8. What happens if rules are broken
Depending on how serious it is, we may remove the content, send a warning, suspend the account or ban it permanently. Serious harm, such as threats or child exploitation, leads to an immediate ban. Our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy apply alongside these guidelines.
